Here’s what you can bring to repair:
We currently focus on portable electronic appliances. While we can fix lots of stuff, there are limitations! Please check the list below before bringing things for repair.
Yes! We fix most portable appliances:
✔ toasters, kettles, blenders, fryers, slow cookers, etc
✔ radios, speakers, & other audio equipment
✔ lamps, fans, irons, hoovers, dehumidifiers, heaters
✔ electric toothbrushes
✔ laptops & gaming consoles
✔ hairdryers, straighteners, steamers, diffusers
✔ dvd or blu-ray players, VCRs
Please don’t bring:
✖ white goods
✖ microwaves
✖ printers
✖ e-bikes, e-scooters, or EV batteries
✖ smartphones or tablets
✖ televisions or monitors
*Please note: in order to repair an item legally, we need to check that it has a CE or UKCA mark on the body of the item. To avoid disappointment, please check that your item carries this marking before bringing it along. If you’re not sure, you can still bring your item along but be prepared that we may not be able to fix it or refund your booking fee if it doesn’t meet legal requirements for safe electronic items.
If you’ve got an item that we can’t repair, The Restart Project have put together a Repair Directory of trusted repair businesses in London. Check them out to find a suitable fixer!
A heads-up: most of our Fixers are volunteers, so availability can vary week to week. While we do our best, we can’t guarantee a repair every time.
